Comprehensive monitoring of the current state and search for sustainable use of water biological resources of the Caspian Sea and associated rivers and lakes as a single ecological system in order to develop fundamental principles for the conservation and rational use of water biological resources, in particular valuable species of sturgeon. Study of the regularities of formation and structure of the bio resource potential of the Caspian water ecosystems and associated freshwater bio systems at different levels of biological organization, long-term environmental monitoring and forecast of changes in their state under natural and anthropogenic environment dynamics. Justification of scientific measures for expanded reproduction and formation of commercial reserves of valuable aquatic biological resources of the Caspian Sea West coast, solution of theoretical and practical problems of aquaculture, creation of artificial reefs and integrated protection of biological resources of the Region from oil pollution. Improving the efficiency of scientific and research work on marine research, restoring the work of research vessels of the river-sea type in the Caspian Sea. Development of a marine environment protection strategy framework providing environmentally safe methods to protect the Caspian Sea basin against expansion of alien species.

Migration and resettlement map of Oirat ethnic groups of Hulagu's ulus (nomad camp) in the context of ethnopolitical contacts with peoples of Turkmenia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Syria from XIII to XIV centuries;

Introduction of innovative and competitive technologies in the Republic of Kalmykia’s agro-industrial complex to improve food security of the Region. Environmental and Physiological peculiarities of body balneal correction in Kalmykia and issues of health-saving. Creation of an arid feeder commercial seed production system. Development of the human capital as a factor of sustainable development for Caspian rural areas.
